The Muse Behind Tini Time

The Muse Behind Tini Time

I thought it was fitting to make Tini Time the first kit released under Be Over at 8. The kit was inspired by my dear friend and muse, Olivia. She’s one of those rare people who makes everything look effortless. She knows exactly how to have a good time and fills every moment with love, laughter, and genuine friendship.

I remember one night shortly after we moved to Chicago—Olivia showed up at my apartment before we were heading out, carrying a bottle of gin and vermouth. One of our mutual friends was visiting, and without hesitation, she set herself up in my kitchen and started mixing martinis for everyone. She shook up seven cocktails like it was second nature, all while chatting and laughing the entire time. For most, hosting can feel stressful without a little help—but for Olivia, playing bartender and entertaining comes second nature.

It was one of those small moments that felt unforgettable. Up until then, I had always been more of a cosmo girl, but that night I realized how elegant, and fun a martini could be. Now, I can’t think of one without thinking of Olivia—my Tini girl—because, like her, martinis are bold, sassy, and unapologetically authentic.

I remember when I first told my close friends about Be Over at 8—I was so nervous to share the idea. I kept downplaying it, saying maybe it was nothing and that I just wanted to see where it might go. Then my dear friend Sasha said, “What’s the worst that can happen? We throw a few fabulous parties and have the best time doing it, like we always do.” It was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment, and all the anxiety around sharing this silly little idea of mine slipped away..

Anyways… cheers! Let’s get this party started, girly pops!

With love always,

Laura
